Here is a first test render of the surface. This is the lowest ball of the station.
The 4k texture contains a color layer, two random panel layers and an AO layer so far.
The windows are done with a procedural C4D shader to get them this tiny and crisp. I tried to do them as a layer in my texture, but the resolution of 4096×4096 is not enough to keep it sharp. The position and spacing is not final yet but I am pretty happy with the result.
Wow yes when the windows are there it gives a nice sense of scale to it all.
