Chris Kuhn created a beautiful model of a Klingon Bird Of Prey.
He gave it to me to play with. It had very simple one-click-unwrapped and unedited UVs, so I made new ones and painted a set of textures.
A couple of days later I reworked them and added more details. I made new textures for the specular strength (_SPEC) and roughness (_ROUGH) and left out the normal maps that were in my first release. You can use the roughness maps for a very subtle bump.
If you like this model and want to spend me a coffee, please
Do you know of anyone that has the landing gear for this model?
Hey Alex, Rudy-4d modeled it 10 years ago. You can reach his blog here: http://rudy-4d.overblog.com/bird-of-prey. It was also available back then. Just contact him via his blog site.
Hi Alex.
I get an “invalid file” when I try to download the OBJ file.
Fixed. 🙂
Hi Alex, I just wanted to let you know, i was looking at some alphas of render on your lovely BoP and ive seen a few holes in the geometry around the back of the head and top near the humps. Didnt know if you were aware of them. Ive got screengrabs if you need but downt know how to upload them here.
I assume this is from Chris Kuhn’s original, i checked his model, and it does not seem to have the same holes.
Regards, John
